FAQ

German for students / Intensive courses A1-B2

Can I definitely take the next course?

After completing a course successfully you can register for the next class. If you haven’t attended a pdL course before, you usually have to do a placement test. The test result will be sent to you by e-mail the same evening. The e-mail will also tell you when and where you can register. If we are unable to offer you a place, we will put you on the waiting list or you can register directly for the next course start. Please note that participation in the placement test does not guarantee you a place on the next course!

What is the difference between a morning and an afternoon course?

There is no tutorial for A1-B2 afternoon classes, so these courses have 20 lessons less and cost less.

  • Morning classes: € 525 (200 lessons),
  • Afternoon classes: € 500 (180 lessons).

I don’t want to take a pdL course, but I need an A1/A2/B1/B2 certificate. Can I only take the exam and what does it cost?

Yes, that’s possible.

  • A1: € 80,
  • A2: € 90,
  • B1: € 150,
  • B2: € 170

Please apply as soon as possible.

I want to cancel a course. Do I get my money back?

When you register for a course, you sign a contract.
Please note, according to the terms and conditions of participation, we charge the following fees in case of cancellation*:

  • up to 3 weeks before the start of the course: € 30 administration fee
  • up to 2 weeks before the start of the course: 25% of the course fee
  • up to 1 week before the start of the course: 50% of the course fee
  • thereafter 100% of the course fee

If you cancel the course later or do not show up at all, we will not be able to reallocate the place. We will therefore charge 100% of the course fee.

Please contact your embassy.
